It’s not just another Safari - it’s a life-changing experience, from walking silently in the bush listening for the alarm call of the kudu, or seeing a cheetah with a new catch a mere 50m away, to learning about the circles of life in a wetland, the personal touch of the entire team is what sets them apart. 

 I came away reassessing my personal values with a new love and respect for Bush unlike anything I have ever experienced before. 

Love safari and have been on a few, including some of the high-end ones, but nothing compares to the Honey Guide experience. It really is next level, particularly in terms of the attention, care and dedication which Taylor an Callan put into every detail. Nothing is too much trouble, whether in terms of tracking down that elusive leopard, explaining (to my son) what that giraffe is thinking right now, setting up a bush lunch with white table cloth, freshly cooked food and great wine, or knowing exactly when is the right time to pull over and pour that G&T. It takes a good deal to get my juices flowing these days, but this trip did just that! Unforgettable.

Our family loved every moment with HoneyGuide. The guides made the experience fun and educational for all ages, always patient and full of fascinating stories about the bush. The lodge was beautiful, the service fantastic, and everything felt incredibly family-friendly. A perfect adventure for parents and kids alike.

The bush walks were fabulous – being part of it, rather than looking at it evokes a primal excitement - but we always felt completely safe. And learning about the wonders of nature - from our expert guides - made me feel like a curious child again. Zululand is a wonderful place, and it felt like our place, as we seemed to be the only group there. The raw excitement of the rhino de-horning will always stay with me, a unique experience that we felt privileged to be so closely involved with (literally “hands-on”).

Walking on foot gave us an entirely new perspective on the bush, where every sound and scent came alive — while the game drives offered incredible sightings of big cats, elephants, and more.

What a week in Zululand with Honey Guide! Every day was a dream - from breathtaking game drives and peaceful bush walks to outdoor lunches surrounded by birds and wildlife, all while staying at a beautiful lodge with exceptional hospitality.

The highlight, the moving rhino dehorning experience, left me speechless. Every detail, from the perfectly planned activities to the delicious meals (including vegetarian options), reflected the team’s passion, care, and deep knowledge of the area and this beautiful country. An unforgettable journey that touched my heart!

Spending time out there with you guys was something I won’t forget. Lunch in the middle of the bush, then suddenly a giraffe walking straight up to me — maybe 15 meters away — one of those moments that stays with you. The next day, the sound of a helicopter overhead, then the rush of finding and darting a rhino… the whole experience was wild and intense, certainly what makes the essence of great adventure.

And meanwhile we all know that the work you do actually makes a difference for rhino conservation - this is powerful!
